It is with deep regret that Rebellious Unicorns Production Company Inc. (RUPC) announces the cancellation of Peak Pride at Big White, scheduled for April 1-5, 2020 at Big White Ski Resort.
This announcement aligns with the directives from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia regarding non-essential travel and social distancing measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). RUPC strongly feels that it is prudent to defer to the public health experts in this matter. While this is disappointing, the health and safety of our attendees, performers, sponsors, and the public at large is the top priority.
For anyone who has purchased tickets to any of our events at Peak Pride, we want to thank you for your support. We will be refunding the purchases of all tickets, and are working on expediting this process with our ticketing partner as quickly as possible. However, with the volume of events being cancelled, it may take some time and we ask for your patience as we navigate this challenging situation.
Any accommodations arrangements for Peak Pride will have been made directly through Big White Central Reservations; they may be contacted directly on 250.765.8888, toll-free on 1.800.663.2772, or by email email@example.com. We ask for your patience and understanding as they may be dealing with a large volume of calls and emails at this time.
Rebellious Unicorns Production Company Inc. is in the business of bringing people together. We love organizing these events for the LGBTQ2+ community; welcoming our friends, family, and allies; and making lasting connections and celebrating our right to be our authentic selves. But it is our duty to keep the health and safety of those we have invited to the party, and that of those they may come into contact with, our top priority. We wish our beloved guests and supporters the very best of health and welcome all questions and comments, and sincerely thank you for understanding as we all move through this situation together.
Peak Pride wishes to thank Friends of Dorothy Lounge: The Okangan’s First LGBT2Q+ Lounge, and Krushel Wealth Management of Raymond James Ltd., and all of our partners and supporters.
We look forward to seeing you at the next Peak Pride event.
